Abernethy Old Kirk is set amidst beautiful scenery in the highland village of Nethy Bridge with the Cairngorm Mountain as a magnificent backdrop. Alongside the ruins of Castle Roy, together they make this historic site the perfect setting for your authentic Highland Wedding.

The current building dates back to the 1760s and evidence of the Old Kirk is found in a Latin manuscript dating it to 1186.

The interior of our historic Kirk is unique with the pulpit located in the centre of the south wall. The pews are positioned in a “horseshoe”configuration providing a more intimate feeling when surrounded by family and friends on your special day.

The summer-house situated in the Kirk-yard and Castle Roy in the background provide ideal photo opportunities!
